The author should certify that:

1. The author has been authorized by all co-authors to arrange the copyright and agreements. The author has full authority to enter into these agreements.
2. The author should ensure, on behalf of himself/herself and all coauthors that:
(a) The author has full authority to enter into this agreement and granting rights to Columbia International Publishing (CIP) is not in breach of any obligation. If funders or institutions or the law has restrictions with regard to the use of research content in the manuscript, the author will notify CIP at the time of submission.
(b) The submitted work is original, has not been published, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. The submitted work does not violate any copyright, law, or third-party rights.
(c) The author has taken due care of the published contents. To the author’s best knowledge and reflecting current published scientific materials, all statements in the submission are true and any content in the work will not cause any damage, illness or injury to users if followed accurately.
(d) The submitted work does not contain anything that is illegal or libelous. It will not violate any contract, confidence, or commitment of secrecy if published.
3. The author agrees to the CIP Authorship, Originality, and Copyright Agreement.
In order to promote scientific research, CIP allows authors to publish in CIP journals using either the traditional Subscription Model (i.e., copyright is transferred to CIP) or the Open Access Model (i.e., authors retain the copyright).

All papers published using the Open Access Model are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution License. Under this license, authors retain ownership of the copyright for their content, but allow anyone to download, reuse, reprint, modify, distribute, and/or copy the content as long as the original authors and source are cited properly.  No permission is required from the authors or the publishers.
